We visited for dinner on a Sunday as we were walking past, a pot-luck choice. The food was tasty and didn't arrive instantly which is always reassuring. The service had some random authentic quirks that reminded me of being in India itself like getting a bowl of vanilla ice cream at the end and having mismatched teaspoons to eat it. Not being 100% predictable is enjoyable. I liked it. We had a little bit of bill confusion at the end so check the tab but nothing to worry about and we left a tip anyway because the service was so good. I'd happily go here again. Worth a shot, prices were reasonable and menu traditional North Indian.

An early evening Sunday visit
We had made a booking after reading what the restaurant said about it's service and food, and we arrived expecting a delicious meal. The chap who served us was preoccupied by something else and we both felt like we were more of an disturbance than customers. What we got served with was quite disappointing. I know on a first visit to any restaurant one is bound to be unfamiliar with the food. But I have eaten 100s of Indian meals in restaurants all over London, and I know a good food when I taste it. I hope it was just an off day, but we didn't return, and prefers the better quality food in the Curry Leaf.
We expected better.
